Discraft X Swirl Buzzz (Ledgestone)
The Discraft X Swirl Buzzz is the same speed 5 midrange that already lives in more bags than any other disc on the course, this time in a limited run of X Swirl plastic from the Ledgestone Open. Discraft, the mold, and the swirl finish are the whole pitch here: a stable midrange that goes exactly where you point it.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / -1 / 1
X Swirl is a translucent, marbled blend that sits between ESP and Z in feel: grippy like ESP but a little firmer to the touch, with color that runs differently through every disc so no two look alike. It resists scuffing better than base plastic and holds its out-of-box flight for a long time before it starts to soften and turn a touch more neutral.
Thrown flat it stays flat and finishes with a short, controlled fade instead of dumping hard left. On a hyzer it holds the line all the way in, and once you put real speed on it, a 250 foot fairway shot turns into 300 without much extra effort. Beginners get an honest look at what a clean release actually does, since the Buzzz does not mask a bad throw the way a flippier midrange can.
Same mold, different plastic: the ESP Swirl Buzzz from the same Ledgestone run gives you a softer, grippier feel in the hand if X Swirl runs too firm for you. Want a lighter beat-in curve and more color variation? The Z Line Fly Dye Buzzz turns over a bit sooner. Browse every Buzzz we carry in the Discraft Buzzz collection.
