Discraft ESP Zone OS
The Discraft ESP Zone OS is the extra overstable version of one of the most beloved discs Discraft makes, the same putter Paul McBeth reaches for match after match, dialed up here for even more fade when the wind picks up. It is less a putting putter and more the shot you grab when a forehand or approach absolutely has to hold up.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 3
ESP is grippy, durable, and stays a consistent flat top through years of play, with a shallower rim than deeper overstable putters like a Harp, which makes it comfortable in a forehand grip without giving up backhand comfort. It is torque resistant enough that a hard forehand release comes out clean almost every time.
The fade is famously predictable, and you control how hard it hits by how much air you give it: flick it low and hard and it drops before it has time to fade, throw it with more height and it hooks onto the chains from well off line. Into a headwind it turns into a straight laser, which makes it a favorite for chip shot forehand approaches, anhyzer flex shots, and any 250 to 275 foot drive off the tee that needs to hold its line. It rewards intermediate and advanced players who already have a reliable forehand or backhand release, though plenty of beginners keep one in the bag purely because the fade never surprises you.
Want the standard Zone stability without going full OS? The ESP Zone gives a bit more glide and a touch less fade. Prefer a softer premium plastic? The Jawbreaker Zone OS keeps the same extra overstable flight with more grip. Browse the rest of our overstable putters.
