    Midranges are manufactured to fit the slot between putters and fairway drivers. 

    Whether it’s tunnel shots, drives, or approaches, mid range discs have a wide variety of applications. These discs cover a lot of skills needed out on the course, making them super popular with players of all levels. Need some distance without sacrificing control? A midrange is where it’s at. 

    Typically, midranges will have speed ratings of 4, 5, or 6. The body of a midrange is wider than a putter and will have a comfortable rim for good glide, making it a popular choice for beginners looking for a starter disc. Even for kids or younger players, the shape of a mid range disc is ideal for learning how to grip it and throw. 

    Midrange discs will usually cover anywhere from 175 to 300 feet (or more, if the thrower is advanced) when thrown correctly.  And in the same way that distance drivers are manufactured, the flights of midranges can vary from very understable to very overstable, and everything in between.
