The Lone Star Discs Alpha Armadillo is a low speed, straight-flying putt and approach disc with a thumbtrack shoulder, built in Lone Star's firm Alpha plastic.

Alpha plastic is grippy and durable, similar in feel to Discraft's ESP, and it holds its stability for a long stretch of use before it starts to soften. The thumbtrack, a groove along the top of the flight plate, gives your thumb a place to sit that stays crisp even after a lot of throws.

Thrown flat it holds a dead straight line for most of the flight with a reliable fade right at the end, and it does this on both backhand and forehand releases without much variation. Players who compare it to a Berg notice it sits shallower and more comfortable in the hand, with slightly less high speed stability.
