Discraft Z FLX Kratos (Paul McBeth Tour Series)
The Discraft Z FLX Kratos is Paul McBeth's overstable putt and approach disc, and this 2024 Tour Series run puts it in Z FLX, a translucent Jawbreaker-colored blend that flexes more than standard Z. A portion of each sale supports McBeth's season on the Disc Golf Pro Tour.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 3 / 0 / 3
Z FLX softens the usual Z stiffness without giving up grip, so it feels good in the hand cold or warm and beats in a bit faster than a straight Z Kratos would. The beaded rim keeps a firm edge for spin putts even as the flight plate loosens up over time.
This disc flies flatter and less overstable than the 3/3/0/3 on the box suggests, closer to a Luna with a bead. Straight releases hold a line and fade gently at the finish, and it beats in toward a slightly flippier approach putter the more rounds it sees. It suits intermediate to advanced players who already putt with confidence and want a beaded complement to a beadless putter already in the bag. It is not the disc to learn a first putting stroke on.
