Prodigy 300 Soft A5
The Prodigy 300 Soft A5 is a stable approach putter in Prodigy's softest, most flexible plastic, built for players who want a squishy, grippy feel over top end durability. The A5 shape is Prodigy's answer to the Discraft Zone, and the 300 Soft version leans into comfort.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 2
300 Soft is Prodigy's most flexible plastic grade, tacky and forgiving in the hand even in cold weather, which is exactly the grip I want in a putter I am gripping tightly on every throw. It will not hold up to years of tree strikes the way the firmer 400 or 500 blends do, but for a disc that mostly lands on grass instead of pavement that tradeoff is worth it for the extra grip.
It has a shallow, comfortable shape that works equally well for forehand and backhand approach shots, flies straight for most of the distance, and finishes with a reliable overstable fade rather than skipping past the basket. It is overstable enough to handle power and torque from an advanced thrower but still workable for a newer player learning to putt. The shape compares directly to a Discraft Zone with a bit more flip up front.
Want the same shape in a firmer plastic? The Prodigy A5 (300 Firm) holds up longer to wear. Prefer the most durable version for daily use? The Prodigy A5 (400) is the workhorse option. Shop the rest of our stable putters.
