Lone Star Discs V1 Armadillo
The Lone Star Discs V1 Armadillo is a low speed, low glide putter built purely for accuracy, with a thumbtrack shoulder Lone Star built for a straight, reliable finish. V1 plastic feels closest to MVP's Electron blend, tacky and soft in the hand.
Flight Numbers: 1 / 2 / 0 / 1
V1 is Lone Star's grippiest putting blend, soft enough to nestle into chains instead of bouncing out, and it has real tack even before it's broken in. It's comfortable for both a fan grip and a power grip thanks to the blunt nosed rim, and the thumbtrack gives your thumb a real anchor point on release.
It goes dead straight with only a light fade at the very end, and full power throws just straighten out rather than turning over, which makes it forgiving for players still building consistency. Forehand throwers get a lot out of this shape too, it handles torque well and resists flipping into a roller. It's a strong point and shoot option for circle two looks and standstill upshots where you need to float something in close without the risk of running long.
Want the same shape in a firmer plastic? The Alpha Armadillo holds its stability a bit longer. Prefer more flex for cold weather rounds? The Bravo Armadillo softens things up. Browse the rest of our stable putters.
