The Lone Star Discs Alpha Curl fills the gap between the fast Bowie and the slower Mad Cat, an 11 speed driver with enough glide that its flight has been compared to the Innova Wraith. Alpha plastic is Lone Star's premium blend, built to hold up like Discraft's ESP line.

Alpha is firm and grippy, comparable in feel and durability to ESP, and it holds its stability a bit better than Lone Star's Bravo plastic does over time. It takes tree hits well and keeps its shape through years of regular play.

Thrown flat it gets a solid amount of turn before a soft, stable finish, and a hyzerflip release tightens that turn up into a long, controlled S-curve, out to 350 feet on tight, low ceiling holes and past 370 on open ones. It outdrives a lot of beat in Wraiths by 20 to 35 feet in my hands. It does need real speed behind it to fight a strong headwind, past about 12 to 15 mph it starts losing that fight, so save it for calmer rounds or add hyzer to compensate. It's a strong pickup for anyone who wants Wraith style distance in a slightly friendlier, glidier package.
