Elevation Rubber Blend Interceptor
1
The Elevation Rubber Blend Interceptor is an overstable to stable approach midrange built from a soft, durable rubber that sticks exactly where it lands. Elevation designed it as the approach and layup disc for shots where a skip past the target costs you a stroke.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / -1 / 2
Elevation uses a mix of recycled materials on the Interceptor, so stability and feel vary some from run to run, but the rubber itself is soft, grippy, and forgiving on cold days. There's a shallow groove worked into the flight plate that gives your thumb or fingers a place to sit, and it works equally well on a backhand or forehand release. It flexes more than a standard plastic, which is exactly why it lands and stays instead of skidding forward.
Thrown flat at approach speed it comes in with almost no glide and drops dead on contact, which is the entire point of the mold. Some throwers use it specifically for turbo putts, since the soft rubber and low profile suit an underhand release better than most putters do. Beginners get a forgiving disc that stops mistakes from rolling away, and anyone who struggles with skip-past putters will notice the difference immediately. Keep it in the bag for layups, approach shots, and any throw where sticking the landing matters more than glide.
Want more glide out of the same shot? The ecoFLOP Interceptor softens the flight a little further. Prefer a stiffer version of the same mold? Try the ecoFLEX Interceptor. See the rest of our overstable midranges.
