Discraft Z Line Fly Dye Sol
The Discraft Sol in Z Line, hand dyed in a Fly Dye pattern, is Discraft's flippy little tweener between a putter and a midrange. Every dye job is one of a kind, but the disc underneath is the same very understable Sol that new players reach for when they want to see a disc actually turn.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 5 / -3 / 0
Z Line is Discraft's translucent premium plastic, and the dye process does not change how it flies. It is firm out of the box, a little slick for the first rounds, then grips up nicely once it has some course time on it. The dye soaks into the plastic rather than sitting on top, so it will not chip or peel with normal wear.
Release it flat and it turns over hard before settling into a long, gliding straightaway, exactly what you want for a hyzer flip through a gap in the trees. On a full-power hyzer it flips all the way to flat and rides there. Newer players and slower arms get real distance out of it without much effort, and it doubles as a workhorse approach disc once the turn mellows with beat in.
Want the same shot in a stiffer, longer lasting plastic? The Discraft ESP Sol is the one to grab. Chasing an even flippier feel? Try the Z Line Sol. See the rest of our understable midrange discs.
