The Discraft Metallic Z Ringer GT is the 2022 Ledgestone run of a thin, flat top, beaded putter, complete with a gorilla stamp and a thumb groove track for extra control on backhand releases. Z Metallic tends to push this mold toward the overstable end of its usual range compared to other Ringer plastics.

Z Metallic flies true to the numbers and has a flat top that sits comfortably in either a forehand or backhand grip. The tradeoff is grip on the chains, this plastic does not catch quite as well as a softer blend, so it earns its keep more as a driving and approach disc than a pure circle putter.

It holds a straight flight with a predictable fade and can carry both hyzer and anhyzer lines. On an anhyzer it fights out a bit, which is genuinely useful for shaping a shot around trouble, and it stays decently torque resistant on backhand releases. Forehand power can push it too straight or even turn it over if you lean on it too hard, so a lighter touch works better on that side. It suits just about anyone, a comfortable driving putter for someone newer to the game and a controllable throwing putter for advanced players who want less of a dumpy fade than a Zone with a bit more glide.
