Discraft Hallux (Signature ESP)
Ricky Wysocki's new overstable control driver, straight from the Prototype run. The Hallux is built for shots where you need to pick a line and trust the disc to hold it. Headwind approaches, tight fairway gaps, forehand utility work... this mold was made for the hard ones.
Flight Numbers: 10 / 5 / 0 / 3
This is the Signature ESP plastic, which is Discraft's premium blend. It grips well in cold and wet weather and keeps its flight as you beat it in, so you're not replacing it every few months. Prototype runs are also collectible, since they're the first time a new mold hits the market.
The rim feels clean out of the hand on both forehand and backhand releases, and the slightly domed profile gives it just enough glide without pushing it into distance-driver territory. It shrugs off torque when you're really putting power behind it, which is exactly what you want from an overstable control driver.
Good fit if you throw the Discraft Raptor and want a touch more reach, or if you throw the Force and want something a little more controllable. Forehand-dominant players should take a long look too.
Weight, color, and stamp vary between individual discs. Pick your favorite from the variant options above before checkout.
